The content titled " Teaching Responsibility” deals with the issue of student readiness after senior high school. The article introduces the new case of Jonathan Govias who is suing his private high school stating that the university did not put together him intended for university. The content goes on to provide two illustrations, one in Virginia and one out of Ontario of how these types of trouble is being dealt with. The editor agrees s i9000 that the college system should be held more responsible for the graduates, but makes it very clear that legal professionals only complicate matters. I really believe that Jonathan Govias' circumstance should be read in a court of law due to the fact that universities have a particular responsibility of course, if it is not met then anything needs to be performed about it. We am as a whole disagreement together with the Ontario's school plan to get rid of this problem and am an overall total fan from the Virginia pilot project, because unlike the Ontario strategy they are basically looking to help the students and never their own storage compartments. After dropping out of his initial year executive program at the university of Alberta, Jonathan Govias chosen to sue his alma mater for any total of $140, 1000 claiming the school did not fully prepare him for what university got in store for him. Jonathan went to a private school, and as everybody knows private schools charge a great deal of money in so that it will provide a better education due to its students. For this reason , parents sign up their children in private universities. Jonathan after graduating got accepted inside the engineering program, which is a hard program to get into since a higher average is essential. Private education costs cash, therefore which makes it a business providing you with services and like any other business needs to be held responsible if their services fail, or will not meet the standard that the university promises to meet.
